The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it really is alarmed regarding the large quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The website company point created for intervention experiences a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office website to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
